A company in Arizona called Photo Form has developed a process enabling the creation of custom tiles with bas relief based on any photo you provide to them. Their web site has this picture of a custom tile based on a baby photo.
As a male with no biological clock, I find the concept of baby tiles disturbing, however thankfully they make lots of non-baby oriented tiles too! The tiles come in 4″x4″, 6″x6″ and 8″x8″ sizes, and are currently for wall use only. They even accept images by email (see their site for file spec’s). Technology like this is a great way to add very cool style to your home (or very questionable style in the case of baby tiles) . Happy tiling!
