I first found Henry roofing repair products back when we moved into our house. One rainy day we were overjoyed to find water streaming down a wall that was under a section of dreaded flat roof. I rushed off to Home Depot and got a can of Henry’s 208R roof cement. It smells bad (make sure you use a mask or have plenty of fresh air blowing through), but this stuff really works. The first time I used it, I actually applied it during a major rainstorm, while it was raining. I braved a perilous trip up a wet ladder, and then crossed my fingers the rainstorm did not turn into a lightning storm, since I was now officially the highest point around our house. Just another day in the life of a homeowner. Like several of the Henry products, the 208 can be applied in the wet, and still adheres properly. I added some mesh reinforcing tape to the application to strengthen it as well. This wet application lasted over four years. . . just long enough for the flat asphalt roof to be replaced by a real, sloped tile roof. The 208R also comes in a handy caulk tube, which I just used to repair a small leak on our garage flat roof. So while I definitely do not recommend flat roofs, I do recommend Henry products for the repair. Henry 208R
