If you wear the Peltor H10A Professional Noise Cancelling Earmuffs, will people think you’re a safety geek? Maybe, but at least you won’t need a hearing aid to hear them talk about you. I like keeping a pair of muffs handy by my chop saw and around the garage/shop in general. Also, if you have young kids, the muffs can be a great ear-saver during any loud “family disturbances.” I used mine a couple times when our daughter was a newborn and prone to ear piercing screaming for no discernible reason.
