I have no shame in admitting that I like free things. I’m even excited to get those little tiny shampoo samples that are sometimes glued in magazines (fellas, you relate, yes?). But the thing I best like to get for free is money. Free money, however, is much harder to find than free miniature hair care products.
Naturally, we were thrilled to learn of Dremel’s 30 Minute Miracles Contest. Why? The grand prize is $2,500 of – wait for it – free money – on an American Express card. We’re sold.
All you need to do is describe your favorite home improvement or renovation project that can be completed in under 30 minutes using any Dremel tool, including the newer Dremel 6300-02L Factory Reconditioned Multi-Max Oscillating Tool Kit from Tool King. The contest is open to US citizens who are 18 years and older. Entries (a simple form and maximum 200-word description of your project) need to submitted by December 31st. Entries will be judged on creativity, originality and level of difficulty.
Paul Ryan of DIY Network fame is a guest judge – so in the very least, you have the satisfaction of knowing your project was seen and possibly mocked by an expert in the biz. That’s free too!
