Milwaukee Cordless 5/8-in. SDS Plus Rotary Hammer and M18 Cordless Multi Tool
It’s almost scary how fast Milwaukee keeps pumping out new editions to its 18V cordless tools. And with the edition of the new Milwaukee cordless 5/8-in. SDS plus rotary hammer and the M18 cordless multi tool, it’s quickly becoming the fastest growing 18V cordless system on the market. These tools are designed to be light and easy to wield – the rotary hammer is only 12” long and weighs in at just 5.5 lbs. Rick Gambaccini, the Group Product Manager for Milwaukee Tool has this to say about the new 5/8-in. SDS plus rotary hammer.
Users no longer want a cumbersome, one-size-fits-all Rotary Hammer. This solution provides an option to carry a much smaller unit that can handle over 80% of the holes being drilled, while increasing comfort and reducing fatigue during all day use.
The kit includes the rotary hammer, two M18 XC High Capacity RED LITIUM battery packs, M18/M12 Charger, side handle, depth rod and a carrying case. Learn more about this tool (and where to get it) right here at the Milwaukee website.
But it’s not all just about being lighter and easier to control, it’s also about saving time by being faster and more efficient. And that’s exactly what the fine folks at Milwaukee thought about when they designed the new M18 cordless multi tool. According to Christina Coulis, Cordless Product Marketing Director:
We continue to find ways to bridge the gap between the speed of corded options and the convenience of cordless solutions, featuring Milwaukee’s Constant Power Technology to maintain cutting speed under load, the new Multi-Tool truly delivers superior performance with the fastest cutting speeds in its class to increase productivity on the jobsite.
With the kit you get the M18 multi tool, two M18 XC High Capacity RED LITHIUM battery packs, the M18/M12 charger, accessory adaptor, plunge cut blade, sanding pad with five sanding sheets and a contractor bag to carry it all around in (or go trick or treating with). Learn more about this fearfully fun tool right here at the Milwaukee website.

Rockler CNC Shark Black Diamond Limited Edition
Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has also introduced the CNC Shark Black Diamond, a limited-edition CNC routing system. A common issue with CNC machines is dealing with flexing of the cnc table, or irregularities / warpage / monstrous mutations in your work piece. This CNC tool uses Virtual Zero software that, together with the included touch plate, “maps” the surface of your table or workpiece, using the map as a dynamic reference point. The result is more precision, which is the name of the game when it comes to CNC work.
The work table measures 28-1/2″ x 36″, great for signs, cabinet doors and ghost catchers. The CNC Shark Black Diamond Package (44566) includes a free $50 Rockler Gift Card and Accessory Kit (CNC Touch Plate and 5-Piece Bit Set). The whole package retails for $3,999.99.
Hitachi 18V Brushless Lithium Ion Combo Kit
What do you do when the zombies attack? Why you break out the new Hitachi brushless lithium ion combo kit, that’s what you do! But even if the zombie invasion doesn’t take place anytime soon, no worries, the combo kit is good for lots of other construction and home improvement projects too. We’re pretty sure Hitachi will be adding a “Not just good for killing zombies” to their marketing material any day now.
The kit comes with two tools; the 18V impact driver and hammer drill, and they’re only available with this kit. Each tool also sports brushless motor technology, designed to deliver more power while being more energy efficient, exactly what you need when the hordes of zombies come crawling/stumbling along. And with a quick charger, two Lithium Ion Slide Type batteries and carrying case, you’ll have plenty of juice to get rid of every last zombie, or just get your next construction job done on time.
