Clogged Drains: Fix ‘em Yourself

Ok, so I know that the Lord of the Dance, Michael Flatley isn’t really a clogger–but where else are you going to find how to fix a clogged drain, and a Flatley reference in the same opening line?  The fact of the matter is…you’re not going to.  That is how we here at HF stay so bleeping cutting edge.  We’re the Dreamweavers of drainage DIY.  More importantly–if Micheal Flatley can be worth about 700 million bucks and own 5 homes–why can’t we rake it for helping people fix their drains?  <Strokes evil henchdog…”Soon, soon…”> [click to continue…]

Kohler_K9132_CP_Shower_Grid_DrainThere are a few commercials out there – all infomercial style – that literally make me want to throw up (and I don’t think I’m alone). First, there are the ones about those “graters” that get rid of dry skin and calluses on your feet. I’m not even a person who is anti-foot – but those commercials featuring foot scrapings are just ….. uuuhhghhg.

The second commercial is one for a drain de-clogging “snake.” The infomercial features shot after shot of people taking clumps of gunked hair out of sinks and showers. Blllllarrrrrfff. It tests my gag reflex every time.

Because they barf me out so much, I don’t want those companies to get any money, ever. The best way to do that is to promote products that prevent clogs and dry feet from happening in the first place. I have yet to find a HomeFixated-related solution to the foot thing, but I think I have one to promote the downfall of the hair clog commercial.
