So before I began my research on outdoorrugsonly.com I came to two quick (albeit poor) assumptions. First, they carry only outdoor rugs. Which, let’s be fair, seemed a reasonable judgment call. Secondly, that their primary stock revolved around fake green astro-turf rugs that are common outside of trailers reminiscent of “Deliverance”. I could already hear the banjos in the background. With summer in full swing, it’s time to embrace those BBQ and picnic weather occasions every chance we can. Patio furniture is certainly nice, but there’s nothing quite as quaint as sitting at a true picnic table, enjoying a meal or a late night round of cards on a summer night.
Growing up, we actually had a picnic table with the long benches in the house (it was nice, I swear!) as our main kitchen table. I have lots of happy memories of meals and board games and – of course – sitting next to someone who farted so hard I could feel it on my side of the bench (ok, fine, it was me! “Who ever felt it, dealt it” was the saying around my home). Oh man … it’s already October! Where did the summer go? I have a simple formula below to demonstrate what happens to my mood when I realize the changing of the seasons:
Summer = YES
AFFIRM Summer = patios
Patios = patio drinks
Patio drinks = MOOD: HAPPY
Now that it’s October, my programming works like this:
Summer = NO
Patio = NO
NEG Patio drinks = MOOD: WAH.
