Free Plans from SKIL – Desktop Bag Toss Game

So, are you the only person in the world who does not have an iPhone / iPod Touch / iPad and are therefore denied the addictive joy of Angry Birds? We feel for you. So do the people at SKIL! That’s why they’ve provided free plans to easily build a mini bag toss game that you can play almost anywhere. That’s almost as good as an iPad, right?

SKIL’s website mentions this Mini Bag Toss Game is “perfect pre-game fun at a Super Bowl party.” That’s a whole lot more wholesome than the Super Bowl parties I’ve been to where the pre-game fun was a game called “Drink Until You Can’t Remember Your Own Name”. Yay for healthy habits.

Anyhoo – here are the helpful links. The first is a step-by-step photo instructional that shows you exactly what to do. If you think photographs are for chumps, here’s the sketch and dimensions sheet for the pieces for you to figure out on your lonesome.  To get ‘er done quickly, you’ll need a jig saw, circular saw, sander, hole saw, and some clamps.

As for beanbags, you can sometimes find these at dollar stores – or you can really easily(?) sew your own (two squares of fabric, some beans, some thread – boom, ‘yer done). I don’t recommend capturing and throwing birds – but if you do, you can bet they’ll indeed be angry.

Her approach to home improvement has been rather trial and error, the latter of which is evidenced by the amount of spackle she buys on an annual basis.
