cheech_chong_doormatWhen a regular person thinks of getting a custom door mat, I’m sure a few different options come to mind. Perhaps something like:

• Their family name.
• A lovely welcome message like “Come on in” or “Welcome to our home.”
• A crest or image related to the people who lives there.
• Something delightfully snarky like “go away.”

Well, when you go to the “Design Your Own Coir Doormat” section at CustomLogoDoormats.com, you’re greeted with a sample: A picture of Cheech and Chong.

Ah … what?

Now, I’m not really a judgey person when it comes to what other people want to do with their homes or when it comes to recreational drug use, but you got to think that one through a little more.

“Uh, no officer, there’s, like, no pot smokin’ goin’ on in here. What, uh, gives you that impression, man?”

I bet it also goes over well when the folks are over for the holidays or your neighbour drops off her kid for a playdate. Super well.

While it’s a bit of an odd example, it does show you that anything’s possible when it comes to custom doormats. Custom Logo Doormats has loads of options – different colors, fibers, textures, sizes, shapes – you name it. Most prices range from $15 to $200.

Her approach to home improvement has been rather trial and error, the latter of which is evidenced by the amount of spackle she buys on an annual basis.
