delta_touch2o_faucetYou did the granite countertops, the stainless steel appliances and the glass tile backsplash. What’s left to make your kitchen the thing that yuppie dreams are made of? Apparently, it’s a faucet that need only be tapped to turn on and off. Delta’s Touch2O, available on eFacuets.com, may just be the finishing touch in your kitchen renovation.

Lets ooh and ahh together over this one as we go over the features:

  • Ooh: Touching the spout – even with a wrist or forearm – can turn water running on and off.
  • Ahh: However, if you are pushing the spout (it will swivel 360 degrees), it knows the difference and won’t affect the water flow.
  • Ooh: The touch feature can be disengaged by adjusting the handle
  • Ahh: You can see if the touch feature is on or off as an LCD light on the faucet will be on.
  • Ooh: The high arc allows for clearance of tall pots beneath it.
  • Ahh: The faucet also contains a 54” long hose for other jobs and a simple button to switch from streaming water to sprinkler style.
  • Ooh: After four minutes of use, the faucet will automatically turn itself off, saving water that might be accidentally running.
  • Ahh: This version also comes with a soap dispenser that can be installed into the countertop.
  • Ooh and Ahh: You can see a demo of the Delta Touch2O here.
  • These oohs and ahhs don’t come cheap – but if you’re looking to give your kitchen that extra edge, this is it. You can get the Delta Faucet 980T Touch20 One Handle Pull-Out Spray Kitchen Faucet with Soap Dispenser in polished chrome for $355 or the Stainless Steel version for $445 at eFaucets.com.
