We Bow Down to Julie Day

julie_dayThere’s no way I could honestly pitch myself as a gardening guru. Not only do I not have a garden, but I’m having a hard enough time getting my herbal window box to flourish (word to the wise: basil will grow no matter how negligent you are, oregano – not so much).

This is why I turn to Julie Day – and so should you.

Her blog updates give the scoop on what to do – based on your plant, month and hemisphere. Her monthly lawn and garden to-do lists are extremely detailed and helpful, as is her various advice to readers. Had I found her sooner in the year, I’d apparently be worrying about my daylilies and hummingbirds right now – as opposed to my silly excuse for an Italian spice garden.

If you’re on track – follow Julie Day. If you’re not not – bookmark and look toward to the spring– she’ll get you, your garden, lawn or flowerbox on track.

About Jen

Jen (but never “Jenn”) Byck, aka the Fix'n Vixen, is a Toronto-based freelance writer and communication consultant who is undoubtedly home fixated (she is also TV fixated, really bad TV fixated and donut fixated). Her approach to home improvement has been rather trial and error, the latter of which is evidenced by the amount of spackle she buys on an annual basis.
