Milwaukee Gives The Green Light To A Whole New Category

Shortly after Milwaukee PIPELINE Episode Two started streaming, they dove right in and led off with the reveal on their new product line. Being the kind of guy who frequently eats dessert first, in case I croak halfway through dinner, I’ll follow their lead. Starting in November 2020, you’ll FINALLY be able to buy a Milwaukee laser! They’ll be available in several configurations, but they all have one thing in common: Green lasers.

Green laser lines are much brighter and easier to see than red laser lines. Making those bright lines also consumes more power than red lasers. Getting a laser level set up perfectly takes some time, and it’s annoying to have to swap out batteries, potentially in the middle of a job. Even though setup on the Milwaukee green lasers is relatively fast and easy, Milwaukee steered clear of the common practice of powering the lasers with AA batteries.

Seeing Green – The all-new lineup of Milwaukee lasers.

The Milwaukee laser levels they introduced during Milwaukee PIPELINE Episode Two will be powered one of two ways: By rechargeable M12 batteries, or rechargeable USB batteries. Both platforms provide much longer run time than AA batteries – up to 15 hours on the M12 models – which eliminates having to repeat the setup process. We’ll shine a bit of (Green) light on each of the upcoming models, with these photos and descriptions from Milwaukee:

He is currently semi-retired, but continues to take on little projects, such as the total renovation of an old farmhouse. Yes, he is a slow learner. Future projects include a teardown restoration of his 1965 BMW motorcycle, and designing and building a kick-ass playhouse for his grandsons.
