The Kneeling Pad Beats Knee Pads, And Avoids Hot Knees

I have been using a kneeling pad from Duluth Trading for about two years now (the same one). Is it just me, or are actual knee pads uncomfortable? If I am doing a low-lying task that requires mobility then knee pads are the way to go. But for everything else, from gardening to working on electrical outlets I prefer a kneeling pad. Knee pads just shift around, bunch my pants up, come loose and make my knees hot! And who needs hot knees? The pad has a handle for simple transport and it cushions very effectively on just about any surface. The top is .75″ thick closed-cell foam with an underside made of durable, non-slip poly material. Neither absorb water. About 2 feet by 14 inches in size. Liberate your knees, and do not let the discomfort of knee pads turn into the dreaded “hot knee syndrome”, treat yourself to a kneeling pad instead. The Kneeling Pad is available from Duluth Trading for around $20.

About Marc Lyman

Marc grew up under a brave single mom who "encouraged" home improvement on the family home. Early toddler gifts included a tool set, and even a cordless Bosch drill when cordless drills first came out. In grade school (give or take a few years), Marc's mom said, "We need to cut down some trees. . . . here's a chainsaw." A father figure also involved Marc in many home improvement projects, including a summer of home remodeling in Palo Alto, CA. Toss in some Obsessive Compulsive personality traits researching everything home improvement related. The end result: a genetically pre-disposed, socially sculpted home improvement machine!
