WORX Cordless Leaf Blower

In a case of impeccable timing for WORX, they’ve just released a nifty new cordless leaf blower. “Impeccable timing” because, by now, most of us have long finished raking and hauling the season’s huge piles of leaves down to the curb. Well, hey, WORX – at least you has us covered for the next round! All kidding aside, the WG543 20V POWER SHARE LEAFJET CORDLESS LEAF BLOWER WITH BRUSHLESS MOTOR (WORX’s caps, not mine) is a nice little tool. We’ll take a closer look at it during this installment of Tool News Nirvana.

A WORX Cordless Leaf Blower to Rule Them All

WORX Cordless Leaf Blower: Broom-Like Shape, Jet Engine-Like Output

The WG543 is just the latest in the line of 6+ cordless leaf tools from WORX. This one, however, takes a different form factor than all the others. By now, you’re familiar with the classic leaf blower shape – a centrifugal fan with a tube sticking out of it. Recently, manufacturers have started using in-line “turbine” style fans, which offer greater efficiency and more compact size. WORX’s new WG543 takes in-line styles even further, with a design that’s extremely svelte. Seriously, this thing is lightweight (3.8 lbs) and compact – kind of like a walking cane (if your walking cane happened to output wind at 130 mph).

What sets the WG543 apart from all other leaf blowers on the market, though, is its Variable Air Control Nozzle. This unique feature allows the user to select either high volume or high-speed air for various applications. Let’s say you’re moving lots of dry maple leaves across your yard – high volume air would be best for this. For something like moving heavy, wet oak leaves from a gutter or from your spouse’s flower beds, high-speed air would be ideal. The Sonic Turbine Fan technology delivers air at 410 CFM at up to 130 MPH. With the Variable Air Control Nozzle, the user gets to decide how they’d like to best focus that air to get the most work done.

There are quite a few other features that make this new WORX Cordless Leaf Blower worth considering. It’s on WORX’s Power Share battery platform, meaning that the battery will work in every other Power Share cordless tool – from drills to saws to nailguns and everything in between. The included 4.0 aH battery is good for extended runtimes vs. smaller 2.0 aH batteries. In addition to the Variable Air Control Nozzle, the WG543 also has two speeds for added control in tight spaces or large areas. Finally, a charge level indicator is included to give the user an intuitive reference of the remaining runtime.

Overall, the WG543 WORX Cordless Leaf Blower fills a nice little niche for homeowners. It’s small, so it’s easy to use and doesn’t take up too much space – but it’s also powerful enough to complete all common yard work tasks. Sounds like a win/win in our book. Look for it now at WORX.
