Cat Scratch Fever: Zenith Tibet Almond Stick

Anyone who knows me knows that I don’t like cats. Of all the creatures in the animal kingdom, I think cats are the top jerks – and, yes, I did consider the raccoon, the hyena and ALF, and cats still won the title.

Much of my proof lies in how they treat the surroundings around them. Despite being waited on hand and foot, getting to live in comfy homes rent-free and not having a care in the world, cats spend their leisure time destroying your furniture, floors, walls and door posts. Just because. See? Jerks.

Luckily for all you cat chumps, Rockler carries one of the best wood scratch removers and repairers: The Zenith Tibet Almond Stick. Simply rub this small but mighty stick into the wood wounds and you’ll see the marks seemingly disappear before your eyes. Rockler cautions that this scratch repairer is really just for slight and superficial scrapes, but many of the people who reviewed the Zenith Tibet Almond Stick say it helped improve the appearance of deep scrapes and gouges. Sounds like a case of under-promising and over-performing!

The Zenith Tibet Almond Stick is safe for all wood and finishes (with the exception of bleached wood) and can be used on anything from floors to antique furniture to pianos to door panes (in other words, everything those dang cats can get their claws on). The cost can’t be beat either – a Zenith Tibet Almond Stick is just $5.99 at Rockler.

Jen (but never “Jenn”) Byck, aka the Fix'n Vixen, is a Toronto-based freelance writer and communication consultant who is undoubtedly home fixated (she is also TV fixated, really bad TV fixated and donut fixated). Her approach to home improvement has been rather trial and error, the latter of which is evidenced by the amount of spackle she buys on an annual basis.
