This post is sponsored by The Home Depot. Wrench sets are a virtual cornerstone of a DIY tool set. They are needed for assembling swing sets and furniture, vehicle maintenance and repairs, and everything in between. The Husky 10-Piece Combination Wrench Set, officially known as the Husky 10-Piece Long-Beam Universal Combination Wrench Set, addresses both SAE (part #1001967827) and Metric (part #1001966517) and are definitely engineered to be used.
The 10-Piece Husky Combination Wrench Sets can handle fasteners ranging from 1/4 inch to 7/8 inch and from 8mm to 19mm. The Universal design box-end works on 6-point, 12-point, square, spline, E-TORX and even partially rounded hex fasteners – all of which are found in various combinations in DIY projects. Square head bolts are found in original wooden shutters, gates, wheelbarrows, set screws and many more applications. Depending upon the accessibility, either the box-end or open-end of the wrench will fit the fastener as seen below.
With square head nuts or bolts you may find that the size of the wrench will depend upon the end that you are using. In the images below you can see that a 9/16 open-end fits the square head nut but the 5/8 closed-end also works. Depending upon the space available, you may have two options.
The 10-Piece Husky Combination Wrench Sets You Up for Success!
The 10-Piece Husky Combination Wrench Set has a 10% longer overall length for increased leverage and greater access into hard to reach spaces. The box-end has a 15 degree offset for increased clearance against flat surfaces and the chamfered lead-ins assist with the application and use of the wrenches. The open-end has a surface grip design to provide up to 80% more grip than traditional wrench designs. The grip design of the Husky 10-Piece Combination Wrench Set does not grab the corners of the fastener but rather holds the bolt head on its sides, where it’s least likely to round things off.

A Case for Mobility and Organization
The 10 Piece Husky Combination Wrench Set has a durable, user-friendly, and dual purpose case design. The case handle has a great feel as you carry and haul the set to your project. It can also hang on from a single hook when not in use. This case is easier to grab and go as opposed to having a drawer full of free floating wrenches.
It also has a clip design that holds the wrenches securely in place whether the case is open or not. While they are held securely in place, by holding the end of the wrench and rolling it toward you, the wrenches will release with a crisp click. Similarly, by placing the wrench into its rightful place and rotating away from you, it will click snugly back into place. The plastic case has a genuine hinge which will enable the case to be opened and closed without fear of the plastic weakening and breaking off over time.
Opening the case for the first time goes better with the use of pliers and a utility knife. After cutting off the plastic rivet from the bottom of the case, use your pliers again to pull the strip out of the body of the case. Make sure that you are pulling at the two locations showing an image of pliers.
This Husky Combination Wrench Set is Easy on the Eyes Too
The 10-Piece Husky Combination Wrench Set has a beautiful black finish with laser etched image and lettering that pops visually from the dark finish. The contrast and scale is very easy to read – an increasingly important feature for those of us whose eyeglass prescription numbers continue to increase. Whether you are working with your non-prescription safety glasses or simply appreciate the ability to quickly read and grab the desired wrench, the laser etched identifications are a great functional feature.
Husky For a Lifetime
Husky 10-Piece Combination Wrench Set is forged from chromium-vanadium (Cr-V) steel and comes with a Lifetime Warranty. These wrenches are designed to do tough jobs and Husky stands behind them with a Lifetime Warranty.
