Energy Tax Credit: Save Energy, Save $

With so much grumbling going on about politics and the government (none of which we’re going to touch here with a ten-foot pole!), we figure we’d chat about some tax-related news that nearly everyone – regardless of political stripe or what you do with your tea bags – would be happy to hear.

In case you didn’t already know, if you’re making home improvements that are energy efficient, you may be eligible for a tax credit from Uncle Sam. If you made these environmentally-savvy improvements to the home you own, you can receive 30% of the purchase price of qualified energy-efficient products, up to a maximum tax credit of $1,500.
