What’s not to love about Las Vegas? There’s the blinking, dinging machines that will happily exchange your green pieces of paper for more blinking and dinging. The endless buffets that show the world that America is #1 (in obesity). And for the kids? All the free trading cards they can get!
Now, if you can believe it, Las Vegas has even more going for it – The National Hardware Show. From May 4 to 6, the Las Vegas Convention Center will be hosting the trade event that has been billed as “7 Shows Within A Show.” The floor will feature seven key areas of interest:
- Hardware & Tools
- Lawn, Garden & Outdoor Living
- Paint & Accessories
- Homewares
- Plumbing & Electrical
- Storage & Organization
- International Sourcing Convention
Squee!
Sadly, the National Hardware Show is not open to the general public – it’s for industry peeps and media only. The good news? HomeFixated’s own Marc Lyman will be there on Wednesday, May 5th with this trusty media pass. This means that in the coming weeks (and months?) you’ll be hearing about the latest and greatest in hardware and home improvement products, services and techniques, perhaps even before they hit the shelves! Both big brands and new players in home improvement will be in attendance, so we hope to discover a lot of great tools and products that will inspire you to start something new or complete that DIY project that’s been dragging.
If you’re lucky enough to be attending the National Hardware Show, do be on the lookout for Marc. He’ll be wandering around with a very silly grin on his face while sporting a T-shirt shamelessly emblazoned with HomeFixated’s logo. He’ll also be hobnobbing and handling out HomeFixated biz cards like a Las Vegas “trading card distributor” (sans nudity, sorry)! Say hi if you see him and feel free to point out what you think other HomeFixated readers would love to learn about!

Marc – We’ll have a couple people there wandering around and hob-nobbing too, so if you see their shamelessly-emblazoned Rockler logo shirts, be sure you stop them and say hey!
Absolutely! I’ll keep my eyes open for roving Rockler types to meet and greet!
