Senco Portable Air Compressors
Senco nails it again with its new line of air compressors. Five new compressors are hot off of the Senco line and range in price from around $150 to over $300. The two less expensive models are pancake compressors designed to be extremely quiet, perfect for indoor use and powerful enough to run a finish nailer. The three other compressors from Senco are a little beefier. They deliver 200 psi, offer a 1.75 running horsepower motor and are all oil-free, unlike that deep fried turkey you’ll be having for Thanksgiving dinner. Visit Senco.com and find a retailer near you.

Rockwell Compact Circular Saw
Rockwell has just come out with a great new handheld circular saw that’s perfect for cutting smaller materials like 2×4’s fast and easy. The 5 lb. saw with 4-1/2″ blade is up to 50 percent lighter than conventional circular saws. It’s also designed as a left-handed saw face so that you can easily see exactly what you’re cutting without getting in the way of the blade. Home Fixated was lucky enough to get this tool to review, so we’ll have a detailed review of this nifty cutting tool coming up real soon (and a giveaway too – in January)! Here’s what Rockwell’s product manager Pete Denley had to say about their new compact saw:
“We ran it against our own full-size circular saw, cross-cutting a 2×12 board. In just seconds, it ended in a tie. There’s no reason to lug around a bulky circular saw, when its use is required for only a small percentage of cuts. The Rockwell Compact Circular Saw is a lighter alternative, minus the bulk. It’s a small saw with full cutting capacity.”
When we asked whether this tool was good for carving a turkey or spiral cutting a ham, Mr. Denley had no comment.
