Decide to get a new green toilet to cash in on your local toilet rebate program? Or maybe you’ve decided to go for the Swash (please, if there are any Swash owners out there, let us know your experience! No detail is too private!)?
Regardless of the kind of toilet you decided to go for, you’ll need to know how to properly remove your old one and how to install the new member of the family. I technically know how, but because I’m a weirdo who’s irked by getting that involved with an old toilet, I tend not to share that fact out loud (um, oops?) so that I can avoid being a part of the job.
If you’re not into playing dumb and really need to know how to handle a thrown replacement, we found this nifty video from Home Depot that shows the process pretty clearly.
I’m personally not convinced that all of that brown stuff was wax … and if you’re not either, you can be like me and pretend you never saw this video. Faking ignorance can be bliss, folks.
