PlugGrip Helps You Get a Grip on Wiring Your Electrical Outlets

pluggripI have a friend who won’t do electrical work on his house because he shocked himself too many times wiring outlets. Personally, I prefer to shut off the power before wiring. But sometimes power can be on even when you think it’s off. Even with the power off, wiring outlets can be a tricky task. The wires are stiff, and man-handling the outlet is just awkward. Luckily a husband and wife invention team devised the PlugGrip, which provides a quicker and safer way to wire and install outlets. It makes it easy to control stiff wires and gives you a solid grip on the outlet while working your screw driver. The PlugGrip reduces wiring time and as an added safety feature, it has built-in power warning lights. Ideal for my shock-prone friend. Designed for the homeowner or electrician, it should help you with your next outlet replacement. The
PlugGrip P-1 Wiring Tool is available at Amazon, or locally at many Lowes or Ace Hardware stores for just under $10.

About Marc Lyman

Marc grew up under a brave single mom who "encouraged" home improvement on the family home. Early toddler gifts included a tool set, and even a cordless Bosch drill when cordless drills first came out. In grade school (give or take a few years), Marc's mom said, "We need to cut down some trees. . . . here's a chainsaw." A father figure also involved Marc in many home improvement projects, including a summer of home remodeling in Palo Alto, CA. Toss in some Obsessive Compulsive personality traits researching everything home improvement related. The end result: a genetically pre-disposed, socially sculpted home improvement machine! 1. I had one also, worked great!!, I put it somewhere for safe keeping!!– so safe I can’t find it!!, I HATE IT WHEN I DO THAT!!
I have found the exact tool on multiple locations, only to find–“unavailable!”
If your not going to sell them , why not take down the photos?!!

  2. I too am looking for one. Had something similar I bought years ago but I don’t think it had the testing capability. Unfortunately, I misplaced or lost it somewhere and haven’t been able to find a replacement. This particular model seems to be unavailable now but seems like something that would be in demand.
