I live in the northeast and my last home had a helmet style gutter system, and it was terrible…there is not enought space here to tell you all the problems I had. The home I own now has the Leaf Defier system on it and I can tell you I havent had any problems at all in 2 years….no ice, no clogging, and most of all no vegitation growing out of my gutter….on a scale of 10 I give it an 11.
