Impact drivers seem to be getting more popular and more powerful with each passing day. Up until recently, the accessories for those drivers weren’t really manufactured to handle some of the extreme torque bits receive in impact tools. That all changes with the Milwaukee 29 piece impact duty driver bit set.
Milwaukee Shockwave Impact Duty Driver bits are engineered for extreme durability, and Milwaukee says they’ll deliver up to 10x a normal bit’s lifespan. Made from proprietary steel and heat treated to control hardness, these bits feature an innovatively designed geometric shock absorption zone to extend life. This translates to the bit being less likely to shatter as it is pounded by your impact tool. And, a forged tip allows for a secure grip and maximum contact eliminating stripping or slipping.
This particular Shockwave bit kit (model 48-32-4401), comes packed with a handy variety of bits. It also includes 3 magnetic nut drivers, and a nice magnetic bit holder. Everything has a very high quality, well-crafted feel. The kit has short bits, as well as several longer bits, including square, torx and phillips bits. If you’re looking for retro flat head bits, you won’t find them in this kit.
Tradesman On-The-Job Feedback
Our pro tradesman reviewer George, of G Prewett Electric was the lucky recipient of this kit courtesy of Milwaukee, and he put them through their paces. George reported that he tried most of the bits in “all day-to-day battle” and “couldn’t break one.” Considering the number of tools and accessories George has broken in his day, this is high praise. The bits and the case (which survived George’s truck “tool box torture” test), got his “very durable” blessing. As we also pointed out in our initial impressions, George noticed the missing slotted blades: “Two sizes of slotted blades would make this the perfect bit kit.” Â Other than that, George likey!

I just bought this set. I am surprised that the 2″ power bits do not have specific slots in the box. You are just supposed to throw them into the other side of the box loose. I guess it was either have a storage compartment….or have individual slots for these. I think I would have rather had individual slots – that way I know I don’t lose them.
I do like the bits though!
I just bought this set, and love it. The bit adapter is very strong, and the magnet is nice and strong. Its definitely worth the money.
Hi Eli, glad you like the set too. Thanks for sharing your feedback!
