One of my favorite parts of running HomeFixated is attending trade shows. I love running around from booth to booth learning about all the interesting tools and products on the market, generally from well-spoken, attractive PR people. If you’re a regular reader, you know that The National Hardware Show and STAFDA (it’s not an infection, it’s a tool show), are two regular stops for the HomeFixated show circuit. This month, I’m adding a new show to our coverage, and it’s right in our San Diego backyard: PCBC.

PCBC_logo_redThe show has been around in various forms since 1959, and during the housing boom time (remember those days?), it was the fastest growing trade show in the country. I think the show was originally the Pacific Coast Builder’s Conference, but these days, they prefer PCBC.

Early toddler gifts included a tool set, and even a cordless Bosch drill when cordless drills first came out. In grade school (give or take a few years), Marc's mom said, "We need to cut down some trees. . . . here's a chainsaw."
