Win a $50,000 Dream Bath and Laundry
With this “Wake Up!” contest, you can win a $50,000 dream bath and laundry, designed and built by Houzz’s top designers and contractors in your area, with quality materials from Lowe’s. If you’re one of those snooty “I wouldn’t deign to waste my time on a measly $5,000 prize competition,” wake up and smell the coffee on this one.
For those of you amiable folks who are always happy to snap up a few bucks for nothing, check out our Lowe’s deals and coupons too.
New Self Leveling Alignment Laser from Bosch
If you need a more versatile laser for your daily use, the new Bosch Self Leveling Alignment Laser might be worth a look. It’s equipped with a five point laser and a cross line laser in one tool which eliminates the need to set up two lasers at the jobsite. The five laser points are visible up to 100 feet and offer accuracy of ¼ inch for points and 1/8 inch for cross-line, with laser line visibility of up to 33 feet. The GCL 25 is a step up from our previously reviewed Bosch laser and is the perfect solution for tradesmen who are in need of a more versatile tool for daily use.
This laser is operated by keypad for convenient maneuvering and adjustment and it’s got a sturdy splash and dust resistant design. Batteries and a protective pouch included.
Delta Heavy Duty 12″ Disc Sander
The new Heavy Duty12″ Disc Sander, Model 31-140 from Delta is a nice unit that started shipping to dealers just this month. This baby features a new design on the table tilt lock; instead of two knobs to loosen or tighten the tilt table, there’s just the one adjustment and lock handle which secures the table on both sides. A top-mounted manual brake stops the sanding disc in a few seconds, and an integral dust collection fan draws dust away from the table and down the hose. Any standard shop vacuum will attach to the dust port.
The DELTA® 12-inch Disc Sander has a suggested retail price of $239.99 and is backed by a five-year warranty.
Klein Tools: VDV Punchdown Screwdriver Multi Tool
New from Klein Tools this month is the Punchdown/Screwdriver Multi-Tool, the latest in their recent line of Voice/Data/Video tools. This all-in-one exclusive design has everything an installer needs to perform maintenance on wall jacks and patch panels.
Designed with versatility in mind, the MultiTool comes with a 110/66 cut-style punch down blade, both Phillips and slotted screwdriver tips, and it converts to a nut driver or a hex key. The bayonet-style (twist & lock) socket in the shaft accepts most manufacturers’ punchdown blades.
Since traditional punchdown tools can wind up being pretty expensive, we’re hoping this convenient new form factor will come in at an attractive price point.
LOVE your prizes and.need them to finish out the master bathroom
In my opinion the one thing that would keep me from buying the Delta Heavy Duty 12? Disc Sander is the integral dust collection fan. The Dewalt DW735 Planer also has a integral dust collection fan, and I think that it’s just one more thing to either wear out, or plug up. With the Delta sander, well who doesn’t own a shop vac ? And with the Planer, you should really be useing a Dust Collector.
