HomeFixated attempts to uphold certain standards when it comes to journalistic integrity and morality. Unfortunately for all of our readers, our standards are just really, really, really low. Recently, we’ve stooped to new lower levels, providing coverage for content that many would deem quite sexist. For example, our recent STAFDA Trade Show coverage focusing on what else? Not tools, but fantasies involving Miss Makita and Señorita Makita. Where else have we digressed?
We also highlighted a video at the end of our Funny Tool Commercials video round-up, that involved what can only be described as a gratuitous use of scantily-clad, very fit women using power tools in provocative ways. How can we start to redeem ourselves after this kind of sensational coverage? We can’t really. But we did find a video that any woman who has ever been harassed by construction workers will truly enjoy.
If you’re the type that likes to whistle and shout out lewd comments to women on the street, let this serve as a cautionary tale to you. As has been the case with several of our posts lately, the content involves themes, language, and images of a mature nature. You’ve been warned:

So, attention all sexist tradesmen, construction workers, window washers, etc. Keep in mind, the next time you start calling down lewd comments to female passers-by, you might actually be laying the groundwork for your own version of The Crying Game.
Unless you’re into surprise endings like this one (even then), let’s give women the proper respect they deserve. Male or female, I think we all should be free to walk down the street without being harassed by anyone. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ll continue my thorough research on inappropriate depictions of women and power tools.
