What's This? This post is sponsored by The Home Depot. Giveaway closed – Big congrats to Brad of Louise, Texas! Thanks to all who entered! You might remember our hands-on review of the DEWALT 15-Amp Corded 10 inch Compact Job Site Table Saw with Site-Pro Modular Guarding System with Stand, also known by it’s much shorter model number, the DeWalt DW745S. We posted the DeWalt DW745S review a little over a year ago, and now we are teamed up with Home Depot to give this job site table saw and stand away to one super-duper-ultra-lucky Home Fixated reader! First, let’s do a quick refresher on why you might want to win this saw (as if you need a refresher), and then we’ll cover the details on how to get a chance to win it. We promise you, the “how to enter” will be painless.

Mmmmmm. Rack and pinion gearing lets the fence glide smoothly…

In his DeWalt DW745S Job Site Table Saw review, Phil covered many of the features and traits that make this saw so appealing. Among them:

  • Rack and pinion gearing on your table saw? Just when you thought you were reading a review for a Formula 1 race car, you realize it’s the description for the sweet, buttery-smooth fence adjustment on this saw!
  • Site-Pro Modular Guarding System allows for tool free adjustments of the guarding components appropriate for each application. In our review, there’s even a video about why having (and using) such a safety system is SO important. Spoiler alert: it’s to keep your fingers & avoid having wood shot at you!
  • Weighing only 45 lbs, the DW745 can easily be moved on and off the job. Yup, a “job site” table saw isn’t going to do you any good if it’s so heavy it never makes it to the job site (or out of your garage).

The full Monty of protection.

Need more reasons? Well, just imagine all the amazing things you’ll be building and constructing with the DeWalt 745S either on the job site or at your home “job site.” It’s a highly versatile saw, that’s easy to scoot around. You want it, right?!

About Marc Lyman

Marc grew up under a brave single mom who "encouraged" home improvement on the family home. Early toddler gifts included a tool set, and even a cordless Bosch drill when cordless drills first came out. In grade school (give or take a few years), Marc's mom said, "We need to cut down some trees. . . . here's a chainsaw." A father figure also involved Marc in many home improvement projects, including a summer of home remodeling in Palo Alto, CA. Toss in some Obsessive Compulsive personality traits researching everything home improvement related. The end result: a genetically pre-disposed, socially sculpted home improvement machine! 5. I need this so my husband can finally get home remodeling jobs done. The next project in our 70’s party house is the master bath which has: carpet, a 8′ sunken tub, 7′ round skylight, rock planter wall…..the wall of mirrors came down shortly after we moved in about a year ago.

  8. Would love to win this saw to help me bring the trees into submission, they are growing all around us, they never stop, if we cut a few maybe they will think twice about attacking.

  9. I’m part of a team of guys who do volunteer work once a month to keep aging folks living in their own homes by repairing stuff like stairs, ramps, porches and the like.

A portable table saw would be an AWESOME addition to the effort.

Plus it would round out my yellow tool set nicely!

  10. I have a few rental properties, so most of my work is done away from the comfort of my own well-equipped garage. Portable tools are a must, so I usually just use a circular saw and a rigged up fence, or trusting my hands and eyes to not let me down.

  11. You know, I pledged allegiance to Milwaukee but having this would either confuse everyone around me, confuse myself when inserting batteries or I could just pay it forward to my Brother that has started his journey down Dewalt 20V Max road. The Dewalt stuff is good stuff and had I not a crazy collection of M12 & M18 stuff, I would have chosen Dewalt as an equal.

  12. I’ve used this model saw before and it is super versatile, easy to transport to job sites and very powerful. We just moved into a new house and this would be the perfect tool to cut through my project list.
