Bosch OSC114C Carbide Tip Multi-Tool Blade
Cutting, chopping, carving, chipping – you name it and your multi-tool can probably do it. But the problem with these costly blades is that they can break too easily for their own good and you’re left with a $10 hole in your wallet. That’s where Bosch steps up the game with their OSC114C Carbide Tip Multi-Tool Blade.
According to Luca Pugina, the group product manager for oscillating tool blades for Bosch-North America”
The carbide tip makes this blade a real advantage for someone who can’t change the blade all the time. It’s particularly important for applications in electrical and plumbing. It allows the user to easily cut pipes and screws in a small space where a reciprocating saw can’t reach.”
Being able to cut both metal, wood, lathe, nails, bolts, sheet metal and fiber board, we think that’s it’s not only great for plumbers and electricians, but it’s also good for just about any other trade who has to cut stuff for a living (or just for fun) too.
With two blades per pack, a total width of 1 ½” and a universal fit on any multi-tool brand, you can bet that these new blades are going to be a staple in serious multi-tool users’ tool boxes soon. Available at distributors now, or visit BoschTools.com now for more details on this cool cutting tool.
DeWalt Gyroscopic Screwdriver
While gyroscopic technology isn’t new to power tools, this interesting tool features gyroscopic controls in a lightweight battery powered handheld screwdriver unit. Simply turn your wrist to the right and the tool tightens the screw, turn your wrist to the left and the gyroscopic sensors tell the screwdriver to loosen the screw. Even if you don’t like the way it screws and unscrews, it’s sure fun to say the word “gyroscopic” and it might make you look even smarter in front of the guys on the job.
Powered by DeWalt’s 8V MAX battery pack, this nifty tool allows users to hold it either in-line or pistol grip style for comfortable use. An LED light illuminates dark spaces and the one handed ¼” hex head chuck lets users change 1” bits with ease. These bad boy toys will be priced between $89 and $99 and will be available in August at a DeWalt retailer near you.
