About Marc Lyman

Marc grew up under a brave single mom who "encouraged" home improvement on the family home. Early toddler gifts included a tool set, and even a cordless Bosch drill when cordless drills first came out. In grade school (give or take a few years), Marc's mom said, "We need to cut down some trees. . . . here's a chainsaw." A father figure also involved Marc in many home improvement projects, including a summer of home remodeling in Palo Alto, CA. Toss in some Obsessive Compulsive personality traits researching everything home improvement related. The end result: a genetically pre-disposed, socially sculpted home improvement machine! My cordless drill is in for warranty repair, and I’ve been waiting to get it back for 2 months. I’m thinking of switching from tools that have a Lifetime Service Agreement to a different brand simply because waiting for service repair for 2 months is killing me. The only probably is there are so dang many of them I can’t decide. The only batteries I currently have are for the brand that has the LSA so if I’m going to cut ties their is no clear choice. Marketing aside there is no wrong or right answer unless to go completely budget.

Drills, can’t live without them, pass the beernuts.

Look like a very cool combo. I like the idea of the small size but the power of a full size set

This baby looks like it’ll bore a hole through that 6×12 beam I’ve got in the garage, and then some.

This is my favorite drill driver set so far; I have a couple of older sets, one also brushless, but I grab the sub-compact tools first. They are very comfortable and powerful. I would like to have a set for everyone on the crew.
