Milwaukee Tool’s Latest & Greatest – 2014 Media Event Coverage

Milwaukee Tool’s Latest & Greatest – 2014 Media Event Coverage

Marc Lyman August 13, 2014 5 Comments

It’s that time of year again – time for a glimpse behind the red velvet curtain of mystery that surrounds Milwaukee Tool’s crack team of tool developers. If you’re a fan of Milwaukee, or if you just like innovative new products to get the job done, our coverage will get you fresh glimpses of the hottest new tools coming off the Milwaukee manufacturing line. We covered all the toolicious action live today @HomeFixated on Twitter. For those of you that consider Twitter an annoying tool of teenage subversives and anarchists, we have all our photos and pithy commentary summarized below.

Last year, we dubbed Milwaukee’s 2013 event as “Media Mania”, mainly because we thought “New Product Symposium” was a little too bland for Milwaukee’s “Nothing But Heavy Duty” corporate vibe. This year, we came up with “Toolfest 2014”, but a quick Google search revealed a couple existing ToolFests, (not to be confused with Festool). In order to avoid those other ToolFests rousing the ire HomeFixated’s merciless legal team with complaints we stole their name, we decided “Heavy Duty ToolFest 2014” is less likely to result in unpleasant litigation.

For Media Mania in 2013, we went out on a limb with several predictions. Mostly, we tried to stick to stuff like “Hey, they’re going to make more hand tools!” and “Dude, we expect additions to their cordless lineup too!” That way, we could write about it this year and say we’re awesome at making predictions – We are awesome at making predictions! With that said, two of our fringier predictions sadly did not come true (nuclear fusion-powered cordless tools and, even more regrettably, a battery operated bottle opener). While those product lines may not quite be ready for market this year, you’ll find some exciting new tools to covet and drool over at this year’s Heavy Duty ToolFest!

So, just to recap: your best bet was to follow HomeFixated on Twitter, but even if you didn’t do that (we forgive you), simply scroll down for all the live action summarized for your viewing pleasure. Our Twitter feed is also a great way to get more live coverage of media events and trade shows with the latest in tool, home and construction products in the future. And, of course, more detailed coverage of some of the hot new Milwaukee tools you see below will also be appearing in the coming months on HomeFixated.com

About Marc Lyman

Marc grew up under a brave single mom who "encouraged" home improvement on the family home. Early toddler gifts included a tool set, and even a cordless Bosch drill when cordless drills first came out. In grade school (give or take a few years), Marc's mom said, "We need to cut down some trees. . . . here's a chainsaw." A father figure also involved Marc in many home improvement projects, including a summer of home remodeling in Palo Alto, CA. Toss in some Obsessive Compulsive personality traits researching everything home improvement related. The end result: a genetically pre-disposed, socially sculpted home improvement machine! For his complete profile, please visit our About page. Really, it's worth it.

So glad to see Precise and stubby added to the @MilwaukeeTool screwdriver adjectives #NPS14 . I find myself using the 10 in 1 ECX Ratcheting Multi Bit Screwdriver Set every day. Love the stubby version as well.
