Genie PowerMax 1500 Garage Door Opener

A couple months ago we went clubbing in Ohio Amish country after Genie, (of the Garage Door opener fame), invited us out for a media event filled with forbidden electrical products, alcohol, dance clubs, horse-drawn carriages with neon kits underneath and Amish techno music at the huge raver scene there. OK, so maybe that’s not quite accurate. It was more like beards, bonnets, horse and human-powered farm plows, pie, and a county-wide 8pm curfew. Oh, and we got to tour the Genie garage door opener plant and their stylish HQ too. In addition to Amish craftsmen and women working right on the assembly line (right there in Ohio, not China), we were able to see how seriously Genie takes garage door openers.

genie opener testing

Genie brutalizes their openers with a marathon durability - weight lifting regimen that would make Arnold collapse in an hour

After touring out their state-of-the-art production facilities (check out our Everything You Wanted to Know About Garage Door Openers article), Genie graciously agreed to send us a new garage door opener and their new “Closed Confirm” remote. But wait, there’s more! They also agreed to send the same PowerMax 1500 and spiffy, absent-minded-professor-friendly Closed Confirm remote to a lucky HomeFixated reader too!

Although it’s not a requirement to win, Genie promised us more fresh Amish pie if you liked them on Facebook and followed them on Twitter.

That’s close to $300 worth of garage door opening goodness up for grabs for one lucky HomeFixated winner! So, stop reading this boring giveaway page and start commenting or subscribing today for your chance to win!!!

Terms & Conditions:
No purchase necessary to enter or win.  You must be a legal resident of the continental US and be 18 years of age or older. Employees of the sponsor(s) are not eligible.  Your subscription and/or comment(s) must be made during the month of the giveaway. Free Stuff from HomeFixated may be brand new, used for HomeFixated.com reviews, or completely abused junk (mostly the first two).  All Free Stuff prizes are provided strictly as-is.  Odds of winning depend on the number of entries (usually slightly less than one billion).  If you’re lucky enough to have won in the last 3 months, we probably won’t let you win again (we’re all about sharing the love)! Winners (and the next contest) are announced on this page during the first week of each month. There may be a delay of several days before the updated contest information and prize image(s) are posted at the start of each month. By accepting a prize, winners agree to have their first name, last initial and home town displayed in all their splendor on HomeFixated.com. You’ll also need to enter valid contact info when you comment or subscribe (duh). Void where prohibited or socially ostracized.
